Commercial Kitchen Equipment Repair Service. I arrived at the location and spoke with the customer. The customer stated they had just lit the pilot light for the griddle. Tested for gas leaks from the manifold into each piece of equipment and verified no leaks. Inspected all burner valves and all are in good condition. Good ignition on all burners. The pilot for the oven was not lit. Lit pilot and have good functions. Did find all range top burners that needed cleaning and had debris inside. The customer stated hood had recently been cleaned. Suspect not all pilots relit on the completion of hood cleaning. Pilot flames are all good and good ignition to burners. Unit ok for use.
Arrived at location on 10/22/21 - Arrived, stated unit is dead, not turning on at all. Turned unit on, turned hood on. Checked voltage, traced back through fuses, fuse block. Not getting voltage to power supply board. Traced through up to hood and back down to terminal blocks. While moving wiring and reconnecting terminals, now have voltage to power supply board and unit now turns on. Check ops, functioning correctly. Likely just a loose connection that is now corrected. Ok for use.
Arrived at location on 7/2/21 Spoke with caterers when I arrived and they told me the noise was coming from inside the box. I heard the noise the last time we were here and it was definitely coming from the condenser, which is when we re-strapped the run capacitor for the compressor. Looked inside evaporator and found ice in the drain pan, the bottom of the coil, and the distributor was a block of ice. Thawed everything with hot water. Ran five gallons of hot water down the drain to make sure the drain wasn’t slow or clogged. Went over electrical to make sure there weren’t any loose connections and checked evaporator motors/blades. Returned walk-in back into service and monitored pressures/temperatures. Found box satisfying at exactly 32 degrees. I believe the box set point was too low and when the humidity was high the evaporator wasn’t properly off cycle defrosting, causing the fan blades to strike ice. Adjusted thermostat and monitored operation. System is turning on at 35
JADE RANGE (left) - 4/22/2021 - Michael P A - arrived on site and inspected unit and found all lilots lit. middle burner not lighting off pilot on low setting and barely lighting at higher setting. checked and verified manifold pressure 5wc was good but not properly being passed to burner. bad thermostat. will obtain replacement and return. customer requested QWP approval from will. 4/23/2021- John H - At location with follow up parts for zone 2 from left. I replaced thermostat and tested. I followed instructions given directly from manufacturer to calibrate new gas valve and found bypass unresponsive high or low. Please note zone 2 middle didn't heat outside range while on site but didn't calibrate properly as mfg instructions. I will contact mfg Monday to get further knowledge of grill status..
