Commercial refrigerator not cooling properly and noticing loud sounds while it's running. Checked the compressor and found that they have failed. Replaced the fault components
Arrived at location on 3/14/23 - The left-hand oven will not heat. Found the pilot holds but the main burner does not kick on. Confirmed the gas valve is in the on position. Turned on the thermostat but it will not read temp and therefore will not open the gas valve. Will need to replace the thermostat. Noticed soot buildup in the oven and asked Terry about it. He said they have increased the frequency with which they clean it up to monthly. Advised a cleaning at least once a week. The left oven is not operational at this time. Returned to location on 3/20/23 - Removed cap tube from inside oven and pulled up through oven top. Removed front cover and knobs. Removed old thermostat. Put the new one in place and fed the cap tube through the channel and down into the oven. Put in the bracket. Fastened the thermostat down and finished putting back together. Brought to 350 and let cycle several times. The unit is operational and the job is complete.
Arrived at location on 1/16/23 - Proceeded to remove baffles and burner assemblies from upper and lower units. Thoroughly cleaned assemblies and removed fly ash from combustion chambers. Reassembled and installed all assemblies and tested. Applied gas pressure and leak checked ensuring all connections were properly torqued. Once combustion was made, adjusted gas orifices until an appropriate flame was noted. Had bob witness and confirm his satisfaction with repair. Units are ready for service.
Arrived at location on 4/15/22 - Turned on oven. No heat. No power to ignition system. Checked 3 blower motors on back. Only one was spinning. Checked wiring. All ok. No broken wires. Checked fuses. Found far right 15A fuse open. Replaced with new. Fuse opened. Checked junction box. Wires are ok. Replaced fuse again and turned on. This time the motors energized. Oven started heating. Let heat to set temp of 580. Stayed at 580. Back in service.
Arrived at location on 6/9/21. Spoke to manager about unit. Unit would not turn on when plugged in to outlet. Checked outlet for voltage and found there was nothing reset the GFCI breaker and checked voltage again. Got 120 volts at Outlet plugged unit in and unit still would not start. Checked voltage going to switch and got 120vac when checking across leads but motor still would not start when switch was activated. Swapped switch out with a known working switch. unit immediately turned on as it should and off as it should. I installed a rocker switch from my truck stock. Talked to a restaurant helper josh about unit. Josh made mention that they were spraying water into motor cavity in order to clean it. I also inquired about how the unit is being operated and took notice unit was about 1/3 full of cold dirty oil. Made mention that it needs to be emptied before operating pump and oil to be cycled needs to be hot. unit back in service for now.
Removed cover on top of VAR mixer and removed drive belt and installed new drive belt. found only had one belt for motor pulley and unit needs 3 so will pick up 2 more belts locally and return. 3-19-21 Returned with parts. removed control panel and removed tension spring from mixer, removed all 3 belts and replaced them with new belts. put tension spring and control panel back in and greased both bearings and tested operation of mixer. unit is working properly but found pulley on motor has bad bearing holding pulley on it and pin is worn out and has hole where it sits and is worn out. will need to get part number and prices for repair. work is completed on this work order. will need to make up new call for this.
arrived on site to check Lakeside plate warmer. checked and found 3 switches not operating properly in each well. accessed switches and found all three switches are compromised due to heat. indicator lights busted also. will order new switches and lights, return and replace. plate warmer in service. 1/8/2020 arrived on site to repair Lakeside plate warmer. accessed and removed each elevator separately. accessed switch and indicator light, replaced switch and indicator light. dressed wiring for each elevator controls. brought plate warmer into operation and checked operation okay. each elevator well heating properly. plate warmer in service.
Checked skillet and found the lift pin has come out and missing a retaining ring. Pin is okay . Found a retaining ring and washer. Put actuator back on the bottom of the pan and okay. Tilt switch was missing the paddle but I found it and put it back on. Tilt works and pan tilts and works smooth. Unit heats. Back in service
Found Walk-In Freezer Unit shuts down intermittently from KE2 control, unknown error. Spoke with Ryan at manufacturer, cannot read stored errors from control. Unit operating and at temperature control satisfied. Began checking system unit, tried starting compressor contactor pulled in and compressor not starting. Contactor burnt. Replaced with truck stock. Unit cooling properly, sight glass full.
Found 208v to convection. Blower not turning. No air switch so element was heating w/o conv air. Unit will need back assembly switch. Include insulation, motor & element with fans. Will quote.
Inf switch closing between L1 H1 L2 & H2. Element open. Took bottom panel down and found wire burnt off at element. Repaired black wire, put back together and tested. Okay at this time. Unit operational.
Motor only hums. Found the capacitor is swelled up and must have shorted internally. Put in a new capacitor and now motor runs and unit heats up. Capacitor is 4 mo old. Part warranty is 90 days. Capacitor was installed 8/9/16. Unit in service.
All 3 ovens not closing correctly. Top and bottom oven adjusted chains and center gasket , both now in service. Bottom oven stacked pair needs screws drilled out of kick plate stripped. Did not want unit to be down that close to lunch. Schedule bottom right oven in AM Found the screw holding the panel on with a stripped head. Had to remove screw. Found door chain broken. Need to order another complete chain assembly. (both sides because of rust) and install . Also lube up door gears. Reassemble replacing screw removed. Had to drill out every screw in assembly. All stripped. Installed new and tested. Unit heats and stops with doors. Unit in service.
FRYMASTER GAS FRYER Tech - Blower is clean and spins free. Customer was using unit. Suggested changing ignitors. Replaced ignitors and tested. Ran melt and ran to temp. No issues. Fired each time. Unit in service.
FRYMASTER GAS FRYER Tech - Customer said 2nd unit from right has HELP error sometimes. Blower motor dirty. Cleaned. Unit cycled multi x. blower runs, both sides ignite. Suggested replacing ignitors to customer. Said okay to do so. Replaced both and tested. Ran to temp, no popping.
FRYMASTER GAS FRYER Tech - Pulled ignitors on unit and cleaned. Tested unit and relays chattering whenever both sides tried to run. Customer does not use far right unit, Switch computers with it. Ran unit to temp and cycled. No popping. Also cleaned blower. Customer getting new units. Just wanted running for weekend. In service.
