Williamsport Commercial Refrigeration, Cooking & HVAC FAQs
Clean the inside and exterior on a regular basis.
On a monthly or biweekly basis, try to plan a complete cleaning of your whole fridge unit. Items from the inside should be removed and placed in another unit or interim refrigerator. Scrub the shelves and surface with a gentle brush and warm water and soap or a vinegar mixture. If you can, remove any drawers and shelves and soak them for a time before rinsing.
Clean the condenser coil on a regular basis.
The condenser coil in your industrial refrigerator or freezer should be cleaned on a regular basis. Most manufacturers recommend cleaning every three months, and many manuals provide cleaning instructions. It might be difficult to regulate temperature when it is unclean or dusty, resulting in burnout and component failure.
Examine the Area Near the Evaporator Coil
The evaporator coil, like the condenser coil, is an essential component of your industrial refrigerator. The evaporator coil is placed near the evaporator fan and is in charge of collecting heat when warm air goes through the refrigeration system, therefore cooling the inside of the unit.
Most equipment needs routine maintenance to operate at its best, but all too frequently, when resources are few and workloads are heavy, planned maintenance is the first thing to go. When everything seems to be working well, it's easy to overlook routine maintenance, and many businesses operate under the premise that knowledgeable employees will see potential issues before equipment breaks completely. If you find yourself in a situation where an essential piece of equipment is not working, call in a professional technician right away.
Yes, they definitely need attention and servicing. A grimy or neglected range degrades both performance and production. For example, grease buildup in gas burners can result in incomplete combustion, which affects range efficiency and may pose safety problems. Furthermore, the more regularly light stains are cleaned, the longer you may go between big cleanings. What is the takeaway? Create a cleaning plan that includes daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities. Then, make certain that your culinary staff adheres to it.
To guarantee that your commercial range burners, pilots, and gas pressure are running safely and properly, you should have them tested and serviced at least once a year.
K&D also provides preventative maintenance agreements to help ease your mind by relieving you of anxiety about costly repair bills and downtime for your commercial kitchen equipment. Our preventative maintenance contracts help identify potential problems before they become real problems, helping you to avoid a costly repair bill in the future. Regular maintenance will also help keep your equipment running at top performance level while extending its lifespan.
